Munshiganj’s Gazaria Police Arrest Fleeing Robber Russell Mia

Munshiganj: Police in Munshiganj’s Gazaria upazila have arrested Md. Russell Mia, alias “Fish Russell,” a fugitive wanted in connection with arms and robbery cases.
Russell Mia was produced in court on Sunday afternoon. He was arrested earlier in the day from Guagachhia village in the upazila.
The arrested robber, Russell Mia, alias “Fish Russell,” is the son of Shahid Ullah Sarkar of Charcashi village in Guagachhia Union.
Confirming the arrest, Gazaria police station officer-in-charge (OC) Md. Rajib Khan said that the arrested Russell had three warrants out for his arrest in connection with arms and robbery cases. Gazaria police station’s SI Sangiya Force conducted a special operation to arrest the armed fugitive robber Russell Mia.
The incident had caused panic among the locals. Locals had been complaining against Russell for a long time. They thanked the police for the quick arrest.
It is hoped that this arrest will reduce crime in the area.
