A special biryani feast was organized for the students of Sajeda Khanam Girls’ High School, a modern educational institution located in the historic village of Habibpur in Jagannathpur Upazila, Sunamganj. The event was arranged through the funding and goodwill of six-year-old Isra Faruk of the United Kingdom.

The event was held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, on the school premises, with the participation of all teachers and students of the institution. The main attraction of the event was the remarkable humanitarian initiative and heartfelt affection of little Isra Faruk for the students of the school.

Isra Faruk is a student at Flash Ley Community Primary School in Stafford, UK. She is the granddaughter of renowned educationist, distinguished personality and school founder British Magistrate Suheb Ahmed Talukdar.

Although she lives thousands of miles away in the United Kingdom, Isra became deeply impressed after seeing photographs of the beautiful campus and students of Sajeda Khanam Girls’ High School. The school’s modern facilities, clean surroundings and noble initiative of providing quality education free of charge—including admission fees—deeply inspired her.

Inspired by the school and its students, Isra expressed her desire to arrange a biryani feast for them through her own initiative and funding. It was from this noble wish that the joyful event was organized.

The program was hosted by Shah Fuzayel Ahmad, adviser to Master Monteshwar Ali English Language Academy, journalist and human rights activist.

At the beginning of the program, the Holy Quran was recited by Farhana Akter, a tenth-grade student of the school. This was followed by a heartfelt hamd and naat performance by Ayesha Akter Fahmida, also a tenth-grade student.

The event was presided over by Shamsuddoha, Head Teacher of Sajeda Khanam Girls’ High School. The welcome address was delivered by Shah Tahsin Ahmad, a talented sixth-grade student of Swarup Chandra Government High School.

Among the teachers who spoke at the event were Md. Raihan Uddin, Md. Abul Kashem, Md. Faruk Hossain, Md. Parvez Mia, Suraiya Islam and Md. Shafayat Ullah, among others.

Students from grades six to ten attended the event. They were filled with joy and emotion by the humanitarian initiative and affection shown by a six-year-old child living far away in the United Kingdom.

The teachers and students highly praised Isra Faruk’s noble initiative and expressed their appreciation for her generosity. They prayed for her good health, long life, bright future and success in every aspect of life.

At the conclusion of the program, Shamsuddoha, Head Teacher of Sajeda Khanam Girls’ High School and chair of the event, delivered the closing remarks. A prayer session was then held, following which biryani packets were distributed among all the teachers and students present.

The joyful event concluded in a festive and heartwarming atmosphere.
