The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) also highlighted the significance of Tahajjud prayer in various Hadiths. One such Hadith states: “The best prayer after the obligatory prayers is the night prayer (Tahajjud).” (Muslim)

Procedure of Tahajjud Prayer:

Tahajjud prayer is a form of voluntary prayer, and there is no fixed number of rakats. However, it is commonly performed in sets of 2 rakats each. Here is a simple guide to performing Tahajjud prayer:

1. **Intention (Niyyah):** Formulate the intention in your heart to pray Tahajjud.

2. **Standing (Qiyam):** Stand upright facing the Qibla.

3. **Recitation of Surah Al-Fatiha:** Begin the prayer with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatiha.

4. **Recitation of Another Surah:** Follow the recitation of Al-Fatiha with the recitation of any other surah from the Quran.

5. **Ruku (Bowing):** Bow down in Ruku and glorify Allah.

6. **Sujood (Prostration):** Prostrate and express submission to Allah.

7. **Tashahhud:** Sit and recite the Tashahhud.

8. **Second Rakat:** Repeat the above steps for the second rakat.

9. **Tashahhud and Tasleem:** In the last rakat, recite the complete Tashahhud, and then turn your head to the right saying “Assalamu Alaikum” to conclude the prayer.
