Sweet Distribution in Meherpur as Farhad Hossain Takes Office as Full Minister
Meherpur-1 constituency’s Member of Parliament, Farhad Hossain, has assumed the responsibilities of the Ministry of Public Administration as a full minister. After taking the oath on Thursday evening (January 11), a declaration was issued, dividing the ministerial portfolios. Prior to this, 25 ministers, under the leadership of Cabinet Secretary Mahbub Hossen, took their oaths as directed by the President, Md. Sahabuddin. Farhad Hossain has been entrusted with the responsibility of the Ministry of Public Administration as mentioned in the issued declaration. This marks the first full ministerial position for Farhad Hossain, bringing joy to the residents of Meherpur.
Having won in the 11th National Parliament Election, Farhad Hossain has served as the State Minister for Public Administration. He has been elected as the Member of Parliament from Meherpur-1 constituency in the elections of 2014, 2018, and 2023 consecutively. Similar to his second term, he is currently serving as the president of the district Awami League.
To celebrate Farhad Hossain’s elevation to the position of a full minister, the Awami League distributed sweets in the district. This sweet distribution took place at the district Awami League headquarters among party workers and supporters right after the oath-taking ceremony on Thursday evening. Present at the event were Advocate Ibrahim Shahin, Joint General Secretary of the district Awami League, Ikbal Hossen Bulbul, and leaders from various wards. Additionally, the leaders expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for entrusting Farhad Hossain with the responsibility of the Ministry of Public Administration. They hope that Meherpur’s development will gain further momentum under his leadership. The leaders thanked everyone present and extended their appreciation to the businesses and general public in the surrounding areas, distributing sweets among them as well.
