Gaibandha Livestock Fair-2024 held in Fulchhari

A day-long livestock exhibition-2024 was organized by the Gaibandha Fulchhari Upazila Department of Livestock and Veterinary Hospital. The exhibition was held on Thursday (April 18) at the Fulchhari Upazila Parishad compound with the cooperation of the Livestock and Dairy Development Project (LDDP) with the aim of increasing livestock production, creating a market for dairy products, disseminating scientific animal rearing techniques, providing advice on modern management in rearing improved breeds of animals and birds, and encouraging the public to supply safe animal protein to the public.
The speakers at the program were: Gaibandha District Veterinary Officer Dr. Md. Hadiuzzaman, District Training Officer Dr. Md. Rahmat-un-Nabi, Fulchhari Upazila Executive Officer Jagatbandhu Mandal, Upazila Livestock Officer Dr. Zahidul Islam, Upazila Agriculture Officer Mintu Mia, Fulchhari Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rajifuz Zaman Basunia, Uria Union Parishad Chairman Golam Mostafa Kamal Pasha, Upazila Awami League’s former treasurer Anik Hasan Titu, freedom fighter Abdul Kashem, farmer Asif Sajjad Chhoton etc.
The program was moderated by Dr. Taslima Akhtar. The exhibition featured various breeds of cows, goats, sheep, ducks, chickens, pigeons, various fancy birds and horses in 40 stalls. Hundreds of enthusiastic people enjoyed the exhibition. Later, the guests awarded prizes to the best stalls in various categories.
