**Prayer Rules:**

**Intention (Niyyat):**
In Arabic:

نَوَيْتُ أَنْ أُصَلِّيَ لِلَّهِ تَعَالَى رَكْعَتَيْ سَلاَةِ اللَّيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ نَفْلًا مُتَوَجِّهًا إِلَى جِهَةِ الْكَعْبَةِ الشَّرِيفَةِ.

Translation: “I intend to pray two Rak’ahs of Salat al-Layl for Allah, facing the direction of the Kaaba, as an optional act of worship.”

**Prayer Procedure:**

1. **Takbir:** Begin by saying “Allahu Akbar” to initiate the prayer.
2. **Sana:** Recite “Subhanaka Allahumma wa bihamdika wa tabarakasmuka wa ta’ala jadduka wa la ilaha ghayruk” silently.
3. **Surah Al-Fatiha:** Recite Surah Al-Fatiha.
4. **Additional Surah:** Optionally, recite any other Surah after Al-Fatiha.
5. **Ruku (Bow):** Say “Allahu Akbar” and perform Ruku, then recite “Subhana Rabbiyal Azeem” three times.
6. **Sujood (Prostration):** Say “Allahu Akbar” and prostrate, then recite “Subhana Rabbiyal A’la” three times.
7. **Second Rak’ah:** Repeat the same procedure for the second Rak’ah.
8. **Salutation (Salam):** Conclude the prayer by turning your head to the right and saying “Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah” to complete the prayer.

**Number of Rak’ahs:**
There is no specific number of Rak’ahs prescribed for the Shab-e-Qadr prayer. You may perform 4, 6, 8, 10, or 12 Rak’ahs based on your preference. However, many people choose to pray two Rak’ahs.

**Time of Prayer:**
There is no specific time allocated for Shab-e-Qadr prayer, but it is recommended to seek it in the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadan.

**Prayers (Duas) for Shab-e-Qadr:**
Here are some recommended Duas for Shab-e-Qadr:

1. Forgiveness Dua:
“Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun tuhibbul ‘afwa fa’fu ‘anni.”
Translation: “O Allah, You are Forgiving and love forgiveness, so forgive me.”

2. Knowledge, Patience, and Health Dua:
“Allahumma inni ‘abduka, ad-da’ifu, wadalil, wamil-aw sa’i, bi-yadika ma din, hawlan ‘alayya ra’uufun raheem, Allahumma aalimni min khairi ma ‘allimtani, wa zidni ‘ilmaa, wa barik li fi ‘ilmi, wa ‘allimni ma yanfa’uni, wa zidni ‘ilmaa, war zuqni fahman, wa ‘allimni tawilal.”

3. Paradise Dua:
“Allahumma inni as’alukal jannata wan na’eem, wa a’udhu bika minan naar.”

4. Goodness and Wealth Dua:
“Allahumma inni as’aluka fathal khairat, wa khairal ma’al.”

**Timing for Duas:**
You can make these Duas anytime during the night, especially during the last third of the night, as it is the time when Allah descends to the lowest heaven and responds to prayers.

**Additional Notes:**
– Spend the night in worship, including Tahajjud prayers, Quran recitation, Dua, and Dhikr.
– There is no specific dress code for prayer, but cleanliness and modesty are encouraged.
– Concentrate on your prayers and supplications with sincerity and humility towards Allah.

Shab-e-Qadr is a blessed night, better than a thousand months. Utilize this night to seek forgiveness, blessings, and mercy from Allah.
