Tragic Incident: Arnob Talukdar, a Student of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Drowns in Pond
Arnob Talukdar, a student of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), tragically drowned in a pond on Friday (March 22nd). According to official sources, Arnob Talukdar drowned in the said pond, where he had come for swimming lessons, as reported in various sources.
The majority of those present at the scene are deeply saddened by the incident. However, many onlookers are curious as to how this tragic accident occurred. Concerned parents and university authorities have been unable to quell much of the curiosity.
Dr. Kamruzzaman Chowdhury, the proctor of the university, speculated that Arnob Talukdar went to the riverbank after learning to swim. He further stated that the police are investigating the incident.
To prevent such accidents in the future, the university administration and attending students had already been instructed regarding the proper use of the pond. They emphasized the importance of adhering to these guidelines and maintaining vigilance regarding the pond’s conditions.
