Thunderstorms Expected in Dhaka and 4 Other Divisions
Due to the seasonal low pressure, thunderstorms are predicted for Dhaka and four other divisions in Bangladesh. According to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD), there is a chance of rain or thunderstorms in isolated locations of Noakhali and Cumilla districts in Chattogram division, as well as Khulna, Barishal, and Dhaka divisions by Friday evening (February 16). Elsewhere in the country, the weather is expected to be mostly dry with partly cloudy skies.

The lowest temperature in the country on Thursday (February 15) was recorded in Tetulia, Panchagarh, at 13 degrees Celsius. The highest temperature on the same day was recorded in Chittagong at 32.7 degrees Celsius. In Dhaka, the minimum temperature was 19.8 degrees Celsius and the maximum was 29.3 degrees Celsius.
According to the BMD forecast:
- Daytime temperatures across the country are likely to remain almost unchanged on Friday.
- Nighttime temperatures may decrease slightly.
- Daytime temperatures may increase on Saturday (February 17), while nighttime temperatures may decrease.
- Daytime temperatures may remain nearly unchanged on Sunday (February 18).
- Temperatures are expected to rise over the next five days.
- Light to moderate fog may occur across the country from late night to morning over the next few days.
