Temperature to Rise and Possibility of Rain

Across the country, temperatures may rise up to a maximum of 2 degrees Celsius. However, some areas may experience chilly conditions. Meanwhile, there is a possibility of rainfall in 5 divisions, including Dhaka.

According to a statement signed by Dr. Muhammad Abul Kalam Mallik, the evening weather forecast for Tuesday (January 16) predicts a nationwide increase in night and day temperatures over the next 24 hours. Shrimangal in Moulvibazar recorded the country’s lowest temperature at 9.7 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. Additionally, the minimum temperature in Dhaka was recorded at 13.8 degrees Celsius.

The statement mentions that temperatures may slightly increase across the country from 6:00 PM onwards, with a gradual rise expected over the next 24 hours. On Wednesday evening (January 17), night temperatures may increase by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius, while daytime temperatures may also see a slight rise. However, some areas in the country might experience cold conditions during the day.

Moreover, for the next 5 days, temperatures are expected to decrease further. The weather forecast indicates that there might be temporary cloud cover and dry weather nationwide from 6:00 PM tomorrow until the following day. However, during the subsequent 24 hours, parts of the Khulna division may experience rainfall or drizzle. In other areas, the weather is expected to be mainly dry with temporary partial cloud cover.

Additionally, from Thursday evening (January 18) until the following 24 hours, there is a chance of rainfall or thunderstorms in the Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal, and Chittagong divisions. Other areas in the country may experience temporary partial cloud cover with dry weather.

During midnight to early morning, dense to very dense fog may occur across the country, and this condition may persist in some places until noon. This fog may affect air and water transportation and road communication temporarily.
