Casting votes without hindrance is announced at the burnt voting center in DholaiPara, Chunarughat, Habiganj-4 constituency. Despite the center being burnt, the Election Commission officials have not withdrawn, and discussions are underway regarding whether voting will be accepted at this center during the upcoming 12th National Parliamentary Election.
Even though the center has been rendered unusable, preparations are being made to make it suitable for voting with the assistance of the administration. The center is expected to start receiving votes from 8 AM on January 7th. Despite being burnt, no Election Commission officials have been restrained.
The center in Habiganj-4 constituency, Chunarughat area, is expected to initiate voting similar to the other 83 centers on the morning of January 7th. The presiding officer of the center, Anjan Kumar Deb, has ensured that necessary preparations for voting are underway with the help of the administration. About 4,317 voters are expected to cast their votes in 9 booths from the morning.
Security arrangements have been made, including the presence of police and Ansar personnel. Additionally, an individual has been arrested in connection with an incident of arson at the voting center. Investigation and efforts to identify the culprits are ongoing, as assured by Officer-in-Charge Hillol Roy of Chunarughat Police Station.
The voters are urged to come to the voting center without any apprehension.
