Jewel is the General Secretary of Tarun Dal district committee in Rajshahi

A 15-member new committee of the Bangladesh Nationalist Youth Party, Rajshahi District Branch, has been announced. Md. Golam Mortuza (Masum) has been appointed as the President, and Md. Mazharul Islam (Jewel) as the General Secretary.
On Tuesday (January 21), the central executive committee’s president, Md. Abu Bakkar Siddique, and general secretary, Md. Aminul Islam, approved this committee.
The other key members of the committee are:

- Vice Presidents: Md. Ashikul Islam, Md. Mojahar Hossain
- Joint General Secretary: Md. Rabiul Islam (Jonton)
- Assistant General Secretary: Md. Firoz Ali
- Organizing Secretary: Md. Manjir Ahsan
- Assistant Organizing Secretary: Md. Shahidul Islam
- Office Secretary: Md. Manik
- Members: Md. Jahangir Hossain, Md. Ratul, Md. Robin, Md. Diken, Md. Rubel
