*The ‘USA-Bangla International Literary Forum’ shines in the light of literature*
The USA-Bangladesh International Literary Forum embarked on its journey from Michigan, USA, fueled by a dream of the immense potential of Bengali language and literature. This organization’s founder, Mr. Shah Md. Sofinur, a remarkable young man from Greater Sylhet, established the forum despite living in America for work. His love for his homeland and people, coupled with his passion for literature, inspired him. He firmly believes that no other medium can cultivate a sense of patriotism and love for one’s country as effectively as literature.
Over time, the USA-Bangladesh International Literary Forum has flourished. In a short period, the organization has garnered the affection of writers and poets. Established by Shah Md. Sofinur, the USA-Bangladesh International Literary Forum has become a favorite literary organization among contemporary writers and poets.
The organization has already hosted two successful literary conferences, demonstrating their competence and dedication to the literary community. The USA-Bangladesh International Literary Conference and Medal Award Ceremony-2024 was held on April 26th and 27th, 2024. The venue for the event was the hall room of the historic Muslim Sahitya Parishad in Sylhet city. As a token of appreciation, selected writers and poets were presented with medals, crests, and certificates. Additionally, all the writers, poets, and literary personalities received “literary gifts” in the form of poet’s bags.
On the second day of the event, the honorable Mayor of Sylhet City Corporation, Mr. Anwaruzzaman Chowdhury, hosted a lunch in honor of the writers, poets, and literary personalities.
