Sunamganj’s Jagannathpur Abdus Sobhan High School Inaugurates Tree Planting Program

Sunamganj, June 11, 2024: The “Tree Planting 2024” program was officially inaugurated today at Abdus Sobhan High School located in Habibpur 4 No. Ward under the Pourashava of Jagannathpur Upazila in Sunamganj district.

The program was graced by the presence of the school’s acting headmaster, Mr. Md. Mukhlesur Rahman, as the chief guest. Mr. Md. Abdul Kashem, a distinguished son of Habibpur Ashghar in Ward No. 4 of Jagannathpur Pourashava, a social worker and educationist, and a donor member of Abdus Sobhan High School, was present as the special guest.

Other guests included Mr. Delwar Hossain, former elected councilor of Ward No. 4 of Jagannathpur Pourashava and a member of the governing body of Abdus Sobhan High School, assistant teachers of the school, and office assistants of the school.

The guests present at the inaugural ceremony spoke about the importance of tree plantation. They said that tree plantation plays an important role in protecting the environment. They urged everyone to participate in tree plantation.

At the end of the program, the students of the school planted saplings of various species.

It is to be noted that Abdus Sobhan High School was established by Alhaj Chalik M. Sobhan, a distinguished son of Habibpur Ashghar in Ward No. 4 of Jagannathpur Pourashava, a distinguished educationist and social worker.
