Sylhet Forecast: Winds Up to 60 kmph and Rain by Morning!

Amidst intense heatwave, the weather department has predicted rain accompanied by strong winds in the northeastern part of the country. A warning has been issued for Sylhet, where winds gusting up to 60 kilometers per hour are expected to blow through by tomorrow morning, Saturday (April 27th).
The weather department’s bulletin for river ports states that rain or thunderstorms with gusts and squalls may lash various areas of Sylhet from a westerly and north-westerly direction by 9 AM. These areas’ river ports have been advised to hoist Warning Signal Number 1.
Last night, rain soaked Sylhet city and different parts of the district for a significant amount of time. Winds began blowing in the city after 8 PM, followed by a heavy downpour around 11 PM.
Meanwhile, the weather department has informed that rain showers might increase across the country at the beginning of May. Meteorologist Md. Omar Faruk told Somoy News that the heatwave will persist throughout April. However, rain is likely across the country around the beginning of May, leading to a subsequent dip in temperatures.
The weather bulletin issued on Friday evening indicated an increased chance of rain towards the latter part of the extended five-day forecast period in the northern and southeastern regions of the country.
