If some rakats are missed during the Eid prayer

Eid prayer is an important religious observance for Muslims. Many people want to be aware of the full performance of this prayer. Sometimes by mistake or unintentionally, some rakats of the prayer may be rushed. Many people have questions about what to do in this situation.

First Rakat:
If you are a follower in the prayer led by the Imam, first say Takbir-e-Tahrima and then three extra Takbirs. Then follow the Imam in the prayer. (Musannaf of Abdur Razzaq: 5714)
If you reach the Imam during the Ruku (bowing), then stand and say the extra Takbirs and join the Imam in Ruku.
If you think you cannot reach Ruku while standing, then just say Takbir-e-Tahrima and proceed to Ruku. Once in Ruku, say the extra Takbirs without raising your hands. If time permits, engage in Tasbih during Ruku. (Al-Bahr al-Raiq: 1/161)

Second Rakat:
After the Imam gives Salaam, stand up and recite Surah Al-Fatiha and another Surah. Then say the extra Takbir before going into Ruku. (Musannaf of Ibn Abi Shayba: 5813)

If you join the congregation during the Tashahhud or after the Ruku of the second Rakat:
After the Imam gives Salaam, stand up and say the extra Takbirs before reciting Surah Al-Fatiha. Then say the extra Takbir after the recitation in the second Rakat and conclude the prayer. (Fatawa Khaniya: 1/185)
