Habiganj: A brutal heatwave has gripped the capital Dhaka and various parts of the country, disrupting daily life. People are desperately searching for cool water to escape the scorching sun. In these difficult circumstances, Habiganj district representative journalist Forkan Uddin Roman displayed his humanity by distributing cold water to working-class people.

On Monday (April 29th) morning, he distributed water in various locations throughout Habiganj district. While distributing the water, he also offered advice to the workers on how to avoid heatstroke and the dangers of the heat.

Forkan Uddin Roman said, “We all know that the intense heatwave is disrupting people’s lives. Working people are forced to leave their homes to earn a living. It is extremely difficult for them to bear the brunt of this scorching sun. Therefore, I initiated this water distribution program to help them.”

He further added, “People don’t live forever. But our good deeds can live on with them forever. As long as I am alive, I will continue to work for the betterment of society.”

Forkan Uddin Roman is also a pharmacist. He provided the workers with various tips to stay safe from heatstroke and the heat. He advised, “Drinking plenty of water, wearing loose clothing, wearing a hat, and avoiding going outside during peak sun hours are crucial to prevent heatstroke and stay safe in the heat.”

Locals are praising Forkan Uddin Roman for his humanitarian act. They say, “He is a true philanthropist. We are impressed by the way he comes forward to help people in their time of need.”
