The father claims that the teacher mistreated his daughter over a trivial matter and later gave her five taka (local currency) to keep the incident secret. He expressed concern that such maltreatment could lead to a decline in the students’ interest in school. He calls for a thorough investigation into the matter for justice.
In response, the accused teacher, Abul Kalam Azad Ratan, denied the allegations, stating that he cares for the student and the incident was a result of affectionately pulling her hair. He also mentioned that social tensions led to false accusations against him.
The Upazila Primary Education Officer, Mahmud Hasan, assured that he has already spoken to the school’s head teacher regarding the complaint. He plans to visit the school himself on the upcoming Sunday to gather accurate information. If the allegations are proven, appropriate legal action will be taken.
