The iconic Jiboi Bill in the Sapahar Upazila of Naogaon has been used for the filming of the National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam’s poem “Bangladesh.” Director Mahfuz Faruk stated that this recitation video will soon be officially released on the social media platform of Kontho Shikhan, a vocal learning program.
“We are working with his poem to spread the ideals of Nazrul’s patriotism. He also urged everyone to dedicate themselves to the practice of Nazrul’s work for the establishment of humanity, equality, and justice.”
The filming, capturing both visuals and audio, involved eight participants from the first session of Kontho Shikhan. The participants were: Tofazzal Hossain, Fahad Farhad, Hasan Mamun, Mushfika, Arfina, Shahriar Nafis, Nabab, and Abdullah Mamun. The shooting took place on Saturday afternoon under the direction of Mahfuz Faruk, the Executive Director of Kontho Shikhan.
It is worth noting that as part of promoting Bengali and Bangladeshi culture, Kontho Shikhan provides recitation and proper pronunciation training to people from all walks of life while also working to bring Bengali poetry closer to the masses through its visual representation programs.
