The ‘Mega Clean Campus’ program was organized at the Haji Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University (HSTU) in Dinajpur. The program, organized by the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society-HSTU Unit, aimed to maintain the cleanliness of the educational environment on the campus and to encourage teachers, officers, employees, and students.

The program was held last Saturday (August 30) from 7 am to 9:30 am with the participation of about 350 students.

In the program, volunteers were divided into 30 teams and conducted cleaning drives and dustbin replacement activities at 30 important places of the university. Notable places among these are – Main Gate to Bansherhat area, First and Second Gate, TSC, Library premises, Auditorium-1, Academic Building-1, 2 and 3, area around Agriculture Building, National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam Building, Dr. Qudrat-e-Khuda Academic Building, Administrative Building, Front of Halls, Teachers and Staff Quarters and HSTU School Ground. In addition, volunteers conducted this awareness program throughout the campus.

The program was attended by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Dr. Md. Enamulya as the chief guest. Also present at the time were Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Shafiqul Islam Sikder, Proctor Professor Dr. Md. Shamsuzzoha, Director of Student Counseling and Guidance Department Professor Dr. S. M. Emdadul Hasan and Youth Advisor of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society HSTU Team Professor Dr. Md. Nizam Uddin.

Regarding this event, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Enamulya said, “This initiative of the Red Crescent HSTU team is truly commendable. The active participation of so many volunteers proves that they are one of the most humanitarian and ideal organizations on the campus.”

At that time, Rahatul Gani, the main team leader of the HSTU Red Crescent team, said, “We regularly organize Clean Campus Program every month. However, this time, the Mega Clean Campus Initiative Program was held across the campus with the participation of 356 volunteers. This proves that our organization is one of the strongest and best organizations at HSTU.
