Smartphone Question Leak: Youth Arrested, 21 Teachers Unscathed
Bagherhat: A youth named Al Amin Khan has been arrested on allegations of leaking exam question papers on smartphones during the ongoing Dakhil (Secondary School Certificate) examinations at Polerhat center of Ajaariya Madrasa in Morelganj. However, after the incident, the responsibility of the center has been absolved for 21 teachers involved in the investigation.
Executive Magistrate S.M. Tarek Sultan stated, “This is a cycle. Many are involved in this cycle. We found exam question papers on Al Amin’s mobile phone. He was supplying answers to the students.”
Apart from being implicated in the question leak, cases have been filed against two more teachers along with Al Amin.
Additionally, the responsibility of the 21 teachers at the center has been exempted for one year. New appointees will take charge of invigilating in the upcoming exams.
Today, 477 students participated in the English examination at Polerhat Ajaariya Madrasa center in Morelganj.
It is noteworthy that exam question leaks are a major problem in Bangladesh. Incidents of question leaks occur in various exams every year. This undermines the integrity of the education system and harms honest and meritorious students.
Students and guardians have demanded strict measures from the government in response to this incident.
