Heavy rain and wind expected in four regions of Bangladesh, including Dhaka
The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast rain and wind gusts for Dhaka, Rajshahi, Barishal, and Sylhet divisions due to the influence of a seasonal low pressure system. There is a chance of thunderstorms and isolated hailstorms in these areas as well, starting tonight (Monday, April 15) and lasting for the next 24 hours.
Similar weather conditions are expected for Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions tomorrow, Tuesday, April 16.
Currently, most of the country is experiencing intense heat. The highest temperature yesterday, Sunday, April 14, was recorded in Rangamati at 40 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department predicts that while daytime temperatures today will remain mostly unchanged, nighttime temperatures will rise. This upward trend in temperature is expected to continue until Tuesday evening. After that, temperatures are expected to remain relatively unchanged until Wednesday evening, April 17.
The extended five-day forecast predicts that temperatures will rise further. There is also a chance of rain or thunderstorms during this time.
