President of Palashbari Upazila Awami League Md. Shamikul Islam Lipon Arrested by Police

Md. Shamikul Islam Lipon, the president of the Palashbari Upazila Awami League, was arrested in Dhaka by the Detective Branch (DB) of the police.
On the night of December 8, a team of detective police detained him in the capital.
Inspector (Investigation) of Palashbari Police Station, Md. Laisur Rahman, confirmed that the DB police arrested him in Dhaka. A team from Palashbari Police Station has already left for Dhaka to bring him back.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Palashbari Police Station, Md. Zulfikar Ali, also confirmed the arrest. He stated that following preliminary interrogation, the accused would be presented in court.
