**Police Constable Arrested in Pornography Case in Bagerhat**
A police constable named Al Amin Sheikh has been arrested in a case related to the pornography control law in Bagerhat. He was sent to jail through a court order on Monday (April 22nd).
On Sunday (April 21st), a young woman filed a pornography case at Bagerhat court. On the same day, she was arrested by the Bagerhat Police Lines and taken to Bagerhat Model Police Station. The arrested, Al Amin Sheikh, is the son of Mozaffar Sheikh from Terkhada Upazila of Khulna district. He is employed as a police constable at Bagerhat Sadar Police Station. According to sources, the plaintiff in the case had a family matter with Police Constable Al Amin Sheikh. It is learned from the case that there was an acquaintance between the police constable Al Amin Sheikh and the young woman.
Mr. M. Saidur Rahman, the officer-in-charge of Bagerhat Model Police Station, said that as there was a remand request in the case, the arrested person was arrested and sent to court. The court has sent him to jail.
Later, when the young woman wanted to go to Al Amin’s house as his wife, Al Amin Sheikh informed her that there was no marriage, it was a lie. He proposed to continue the physical relationship with Al Amin and threatened to spread the videos on the internet if anyone knew about the matter. In this incident, the young woman filed a case at Bagerhat court.
