Nationwide possibility of rising temperatures and thunderstorms:
- The seasonal low pressure system is currently located over the South Bay of Bengal.
- This system is expected to cause an increase in temperatures across the country.
- There is also a chance of increased rainfall.

Today’s temperatures:
- The lowest temperature recorded today was 10.7°C in Teঁতুলিয়া, Panchagarh.
- The highest temperature recorded yesterday (February 17) was 31.8°C in Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar.
Forecast for the next 72 hours:
- From 9 AM today (Sunday, February 18) onwards, temperatures throughout the country are expected to rise.
- Light to moderate fog may occur in some parts of the country from late night to early morning.
Rainfall forecast:
- Until 9 AM Tuesday (February 20), the weather across the country is expected to be dry with partly cloudy skies.
- However, in the following 24 hours, there is a chance of rain or thunderstorms in some places in Sylhet division and a few places in Khulna, Barishal, and Mymensingh divisions.
- The chance of rain or thunderstorms may increase in the next five days.
Dhaka weather:
- In Dhaka today, wind is blowing from the west or northwest at a speed of 8 to 12 kilometers per hour.
- The relative humidity in Dhaka at 6 AM was 89%.
Precautions:
- Everyone is advised to be cautious due to the rapid changes in weather.
