Mother and son strangulated to death in cowshed
*Pabna, January 26:* A shocking incident unfolded in Dighulia, a union under the Pabna district of Bangladesh, where a mother, Laboni Khatun (35), and her son, Riyadh Hossen (8), were discovered dead under suspicious circumstances. Local authorities suspect that they were victims of a heinous crime involving respiratory obstruction.

According to sources from the police’s mobile unit, on Friday morning around 11 AM, the bodies of Laboni Khatun and Riyadh Hossen were recovered from their residence near Goalpara. The police believe that the mother and son were intentionally killed through suffocation during the previous night.
Hafizur Rahman, the Chairman of the local Union Parishad (UP), stated, “Early in the morning, local residents discovered the lifeless bodies of Laboni Khatun and her son Riyadh Hossen near their residence in Goalpara.”

Police Officer Selim Reza mentioned, “We are actively monitoring the crime scene, and an investigation is underway to determine the motive behind this tragedy.”
