Al Zobair, Staff Reporter.
Like the rest of the country, the holy Eid Milad-un-Nabi was celebrated in Bogura in a joyful and festive atmosphere. With the peaceful participation of lakhs of followers of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jama’at, a grand gathering was organized on Friday, September 5, 2025, at the initiative of Bogura Haquer Dawat Siddiqiya Darbar (HDSD) and Sunnati Jame Masque.
The event, which lasted from Friday, 11th Rabi-ul-Awal to Fajr, 12th Rabi-ul-Awal, included a celebratory procession or joy rally, Islamic discussions, Islamic Hum naat, Quran recitation, Milad-Qiyam and various other voluntary acts of worship. The entire area turned into a festive sea of people in the presence of lakhs of devout Muslims.
A colorful procession or joy rally was held after Jumma under the leadership of Alhaj MMD. Ashraf Alimullah Siddique, President of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jama’at (North Bengal), Pesh Imam and Founder of Haquer Dawat Siddiquiya Darbar Sunnati Jame Mosque.
The rally started from Haquer Dawat Siddiquiya Darbar (HDSD) in Baropur and went around Matidali, Banani, Tinmatha, Char Matha, Sat Matha and highway Road before ending at the Darbar. Everyone was holding festoons, placards and banners with the message of boycotting Haram and building a terrorism-free society.
As the main speaker in the Waj-Mahfil and discussion that lasted from Maghrib to Fajr, MMD. Ashraf Alimullah Siddique said, “Today is the happiest day in the creation of Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. In the 107th verse of Surah Al-Anbiya of the Holy Quran, ALLAH Almighty has said—‘O Messenger, We have sent you as a mercy to the whole world.’ Therefore, 12 Rabiul Awal is a happy day for the whole world.” He also said that recently, misleading statements are being spread on some social media—in an attempt to question the celebration of Eid Milad-un-Nabi. Special arrangements are made for the devotees to fast on this holy day. After the night-long program, this grand gathering ended with a prayer seeking the overall well-being of the country, nation and Muslim Ummah.
