Former Janata Bank official hasn’t received pension in 11 years
Dinajpur Correspondent:
A press conference was held at Hakimpur Press Club in Dinajpur by Abu Taher Mondal, a retired Junior Officer of Janata Bank, Birampur branch. Despite being retired for 11 years, he claimed he has not yet received his pension and demanded the withdrawal of false allegations made against him.
On Sunday (24 August) at 11:00 am, in a written statement, Abu Taher Mondal said he retired on 4 April 2014. However, 14 months after his retirement, the bank authorities accused him of violating service regulations—an allegation he described as false and baseless.
He stated that he filed a case against this accusation with the Bogura Administrative Tribunal, which on 22 August 2017 ruled in his favor. Later, when the bank authorities appealed, the Appellate Tribunal again ruled in his favor on 8 October 2018. Despite these verdicts, the bank authorities once again filed another appeal.
Abu Taher Mondal said, “In December 2022, the hearing was completed in my favor. But the hearing from the bank authorities’ side has not yet been held. For 11 long years, I have been denied justice and am living a miserable life with my family.”
He urged the concerned authorities to resolve the case quickly and ensure the payment of his pension. He also strongly demanded the withdrawal of the baseless allegations against him.
