Habiganj (Bangladesh): Habiganj District Detective Police has arrested a young man named Ramprasad Chandra (30) on charges of cheating job seekers and embezzling money from them through bKash and cash by issuing fake recruitment advertisements.
Ramprasad is employed in the Fire Service and Civil Defense in Rajnagar thana of Moulvibazar district. He is the son of Pyuz Chand Shil of Kakailcheo village in Ajmiriganj upazila of Habiganj district.
Habiganj Police Superintendent Akhtar Hossain confirmed the matter at a press briefing at the Habiganj Police Superintendent’s office on Monday afternoon at 4 pm.
He said that Ramprasad had been cheating for a long time by issuing fake recruitment advertisements on social media. Recently, he embezzled money from several job seekers by issuing fake manpower recruitment advertisements for the Police Superintendent and Deputy Commissioner’s office. A case was filed in this regard at Habiganj Sadar Model Police Station. Subsequently, the DB police raided and arrested him from Rajnagar.
The Police Superintendent said that action will be taken against those who will cheat.
