Child Collapses During Trump’s Press Conference!
Washington, April 19:
A surprising incident took place at the Oval Office of the White House on Friday (April 19), during the swearing-in ceremony of Dr. Mehmet Oz. While U.S. President Donald Trump was addressing a press conference, a child suddenly collapsed, causing immediate concern and halting the event.
The incident occurred just as President Trump was responding to questions about Iran’s nuclear program. Suddenly, the child—reportedly a family member of Dr. Oz—fell ill. White House staff quickly asked reporters to leave the room and restricted photography. President Trump personally approached the child to assess the situation.
According to Fox News, quoting a White House official, the child belonged to Dr. Oz’s family. Renowned cardiologist Dr. Oz immediately provided medical assistance. Although the child regained consciousness after a short time, they were still feeling unwell and were assisted out of the room. The press conference was not resumed following the incident.
In an official statement, the White House said, “During the swearing-in ceremony of Dr. Oz at the Oval Office, a member of his family fainted. We are pleased to report that the child is now in good health.”
Dr. Mehmet Oz was sworn in on Friday as the new head of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). His appointment was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on April 3.
The CMS, under the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, provides medical assistance to the country’s most vulnerable populations—including low-income children, senior citizens over 65, and people with disabilities.
