Awami League General Secretary Arrested in ‘Devil Hunt Phase-2’ Operation

In Bagerhat’s Rampal, Enamul Bashar Bachchu (52), the General Secretary of the Awami League’s Bashtali Union unit under Rampal Upazila, has been arrested in the ‘Devil Hunt Phase-2’ operation. Rampal Police Station carried out the operation and arrested him.

The arrest was made on Wednesday (17 December) at around 11:30 pm during a special operation in the Islamabad area of Bashtali Union under Rampal Upazila. The arrested Enamul Bashar Bachchu (52) is the son of Khairul Bashar of Islamabad village in Bashtali Union.

According to police sources, Enamul Bashar Bachchu was the current General Secretary of the Bashtali Union Awami League and an active party worker. He was arrested as part of a regular case through a special operation.

Regarding the matter, Rampal Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdullah Al Mamun told Amar Desh that he was arrested in connection with a regular case. After completing the legal procedures, the arrested accused has been produced before the court.
