Arrest of Three with 102 Bottles of Phensedyl in Separate Operations by DB Police in Rajshahi

In two separate operations conducted by the Rajshahi District Detective Branch (DB) Police, three individuals were arrested with a total of 102 bottles of Phensedyl.
On Tuesday, December 31, at 3:00 PM, two drug dealers were apprehended with 50 bottles of Phensedyl in Pirojpur village under Charghat police station. Later, at 10:35 PM, another individual was arrested with 52 bottles of Phensedyl in Ashrafpur village under Bagha police station.
The arrested individuals are:
- Md. Mizanur Rahman Manik (45), son of Abdul Hakim from Chandanshahar village, Charghat.
- Mosammat Beli Begum (40), wife of Abu Bakkar from Pirojpur village, Charghat.
- Md. Shakil Ali (23), son of the late Abul Kashem from Palashi Fatehpur (Khanpur Nichpara) village, Bagha.
Details of the Operations:
According to the report, on December 31, 2024, SI (Unarmed) Md. Inamul Islam and his team conducted an operation in Pirojpur village, Charghat. During the operation at 3:00 PM, the DB Police arrested Md. Mizanur Rahman Manik and Mosammat Beli Begum while they were in possession of 50 bottles of Phensedyl in the yard of Beli Begum’s residence, engaging in illegal drug trading.
In a separate operation, SI (Unarmed) Md. Dauduzzaman Akash and his team arrested Md. Shakil Ali with 52 bottles of Phensedyl at 10:35 PM in front of the house of Alhaj Jahangir Alam, son of the late Ansar Ali, in Ashrafpur village under Bagha.
Escape of Two Associates:
Two other accomplices, identified as:
- Md. Imon Ali (28), son of Golam Mostafa, resident of Khudi Chhayghati, Bagha.
- Md. Habibur Rahman (24), son of the late Yunus Mondal, resident of Palashi Fatehpur (Khanpur Nichpara), Bagha.
Both managed to flee the scene during the operations.
Legal Actions:
Two separate cases under the Narcotics Control Act, 2018, have been filed at Charghat and Bagha police stations concerning the recovery of Phensedyl.
