Another drug dealer arrested in the anti-drug campaign!
Gaibandha: As part of the uninterrupted anti-narcotics campaign of the police aimed at making Palashbari drug-free, another drug dealer was arrested by the Palashbari Police Station today, Sunday, April 21, 2024.
The arrested drug dealer’s name is Golam Mostafa (65). He hails from Jaiyantipur village in Pirganj Upazila of Rangpur district. Mostafa was apprehended while traveling on a bus of “Bahan” Transport, which was intercepted in front of Sohel’s tea stall in Maheshpur village. One kilogram of dried cannabis was seized from him.
Under the overall supervision of Officer-in-Charge (OC) A.K.M. Azmiruzzaman, the anti-drug campaign in Palashbari Police Station is being led by Sub-Inspector (SI) Raju Islam.
This incident has been filed under Palashbari Police Station Case No. 18, dated 21/04/2024, under Section 36(1) of the Narcotics Control Act, 2018.
The local people have appreciated the ongoing anti-narcotics campaign in Palashbari Police Station.
Regarding the ongoing anti-narcotics campaign, OC Azmiruzzaman of Palashbari Police Station stated, “Drug traffickers will be brought to justice at any cost. This campaign against drugs will continue unabated.”
The locals have praised the strict action taken by Palashbari Police Station in response to this incident. It is hoped that through this systematic campaign, the area will be rid of the menace of drugs.
