50,000 Taka Fine for Illegal Soil Excavation in Madhabpur
Madhabpur, April 26, 2024: On Friday, an individual was fined 50,000 taka by a mobile court for illegally extracting soil from agricultural land in Andiuara village, Andiuara Union, Madhabpur sub-district. The authorities have also informed that legal actions will be taken against others involved in this activity.
Mr. Mohammad rahat Bin Kutub, Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate of Madhabpur sub-district, led the raid. Based on confidential information, he informed that he directly reached the incident site, apprehended the culprit, and imposed the fine through a mobile court.
This raid sends a strong message against illegal soil excavation. The sub-district administration has informed that regular drives will be conducted to prevent such illegal activities in the future.
The incident has generated significant buzz among the locals. Many have expressed their support for the administration’s اقدام (iqdam – action/step) and hope that this will reduce occurrences of illegal soil extraction in the future.
